DJMAX Portable Clazziquai Edition (Korean: 디제이맥스 포터블 클래지콰이 에디션, DMP CE) is a music video game published and developed by Pentavision in South Korea for the PlayStation Portable released on October 20, 2008. This is the third title for the PlayStation Portable from in the DJMAX Portable series, after DJMAX Portable 2. It is DJMAX Portable mainly using songs from Clazziquai. The easier Button modes and mainstream tracklist were targeted at recruiting new DJMAX players.

Game Tracklist

There are 40 playable songs in Clazziquai Edition alone, with the Platinum Crew patch enabling the unlocking of an additional 8 songs. Of those 8 songs, three of them are alternatively unlockable via Link Disc - Link with Portable unlocks Elastic Star ~UK Garage Mix~, Portable 2 unlocks Syriana and Black Square unlocks Proposed, Flower, Wolf.


  • This version includes new songs from DJMAX Technika, 015B, BJJ, and from Clazziquai's 2008 mini album Metrotronics.
  • Button Modes in Clazziquai Edition are 2B, 4B, 5B, 6B, and 4BFX.
  • Clazziquai Edition was the first Portable series game to utilize full motion video for all its original content.

Club Tour

Club Tour is a mode where the player can play in different club, each club is one of three gameplay types. there are three club types. Music type gives the player a list of songs to play and the player must complete each song. Repertory type has several sets of songs given to the player, the player must complete each song in the set in order it's shown to complete the set. Mission type has various other DJ's sorted by Rank and sometimes button modes with specific goals. The player pays some gold to accept the challenge and must meet the goal given to them by the DJ before the song ends. If the player wins, their rank goes up and will earn a new title when they reach a certain rank. If they lose their rank goes down. Players cannot challenge a DJ if the DJ's rank is too high compared to theirs.

Arcade mode plays through one of 6 button modes in 3 stages each with your choice of a song from a list, the songs get harder the more buttons you use and the higher the stage.

Collection is a gallery of unlocks that have been attained via gameplay. It includes Internet Ranking, Play Data which highlight highest scores for sets and individual songs in Arcade mode, along with Club Tour Emblem, Image, and Movie unlocks attained. A progress bar along the top of the screen displays completion rate, in percentage, of the entire game's unlocks.


Link Disc

Link Disc is a mode that connects to Portable, Portable 2, and Black Square to unlock new gears, avatars and songs.

  • Black Square link disc mode was there even before Black Square was released.

Album is a pseudo-OST accessible from within Clazziquai Edition that allows playback of unlockable audio tracks of the game's music. The songs' BGAs are also viewable via this mode along with short descriptions of each song.

Unlike the other DJMAX Portable titles, Clazziquai Edition (Limited Edition or otherwise) did not ship a physical OST (quite likely due to licensing issues). When people refer to the "Clazziquai Edition Soundtrack" they're most likely referring to the files/ordering found off the game's UMD, or in other words, in-game Album Mode.

That being said, the list does include quite a few original versions, extended versions and remixes not found anywhere else.

Limited Edition Pack

Clazziquai Edition did not have have a Limited Edition per-se, but it was included in two options of a PSP-3005 bundle in Korea. The bundles were:

  • "DJMAX Package Limited Edition” included the PSP-3005 (Pearl White), DJMAX Portable Clazziquai Edition, a music album, speakers and a bunch of PSP accessories.
  • “DJMAX Package” included everything minus the PSP accessories.

Platinum Crew Patch

Players who were members of Platinum Crew were given a game patch for Clazziquai edition that can be turned on or off, once in effect the Patch gives these effects:

  • Club Tour Season 2: This changes certain clubs, as in it changes its gameplay type, objectives and difficulty.
  • New Song Patterns: Harder versions of songs can be played, but it won't be show as an alternative pattern and will appear as a certain pattern in disguise (See: DJMAX Portable Clazziquai Edition:Tracklist#Season 2).
  • 8 hidden songs: 8 of the game's songs could have their O.S.T. and music videos unlocked without the patch, but the song itself can't be unlocked to play in Arcade mode. With the patch, the player had to play the song once in a Club Tour Music-type Club, then the song was unlocked to be played in any button mode and Freestyle. The 8 songs are:
