Lee Ji Ae
Lee Ji Ae (이지애; also known simply as Jiae) is a South Korean idol singer. She was a former member and leader of popular idol group T-ara.
Ji Ae was the original member of T-ara. Alongside fellow member Yang Ji Won, Ham Eun Jung, Park Sun Young (Hyomin), and Park Ji Yeon, they have been training together for three years under Mnet Media, and debuted as T-ara. The original T-ara debuted their first single Good Person in April 2009, which was used as the soundtrack for Cinderella Man drama series, starring Kwon Sang Woo and Im Yoona from Girls' Generation.
But in June 2009, only two months since their first single release, Mnet announced Ji Ae and Ji Won has been released from T-ara, citing creative differences. In a 2012 interview, Ji Ae revealed that she originally wanted to try different styles of music, but found it hard after she debuted. "When the time came closer (to debut) there were restraints. I wanted to try a lot of music styles and show different colors, but I felt like the music we would do in the group was not what I wanted," said Ji Ae. Ji Ae and Ji Won are then replaced by three new members: Jeon Bo Ram, Lee Ji Hyun (Qri), and ex-SM Entertainment trainee and former Girls' Generation leader candidate Park So Yeon.
Ji Ae would later form a new idol group with Lee Ju Ri (also known as Iahsi) under DreamT Entertainment. Now using new stage name Hana, they form JEVICE and debuted in 2012; releasing three singles and one EP. As of late 2014, JEVICE can be presumed have disbanded since their information has been removed from DreamT's webpage and the members have ceased activities.
Ji Ae also lent her voice to DJMAX songs. She mostly works with NieN, and sang on two of his songs.
